Course Outline:
This course is designed to provide a worker with a First Aid Qualification where a workplace first aid risk assessment identifies a need for a First Aider in the workplace. It will provide those with knowledge and practical skill to provide first aid provisions in the event of a first aid emergency.

• Legalities, responsibilities and reporting of First Aid
• Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
• Fractures and spinal injuries
• Resuscitation and AED awareness
• Assessment of the situation
• Control of bleeding
• Shock (including Anaphylaxis)
• Heart Attacks
• Head Injuries
• Sprains and Strains
• Poisoning
• Choking
• Eye Injuries
• Chest Injuries
• Asthma
• Anaphylaxis
• Diabetes
• Stroke
• Burns
• Seizures
• Hot and Cold Illnesses
Suitable For:
Any employees who, as part of their working duties have been requested or volunteered to be a First Aider in the Workplace.
